  • Crypto manufacturer Compumtica expands to HSD Campus in The Hague

The Hague, October 12, 2016 - IT security company Compumatica, the only Dutch crypto manufacturer, opened today a new office in The Hague. With their inventive security solutions in the field of cryptography and now located at the HSD Campus, Compumatica will actively take part in the ecosystem of The Hague Security Delta, the largest security cluster in Europe. The ceremonial opening in The Hague was preceded by a seminar on privacy.

    Safely encrypted

In 1991, when almost no one was familiar with cybersecurity, Compumatica was founded and is since then at the forefront of developments in this area. The IT security company designs among others codes for security software and encryption solutions; products that encrypt information so that it can be sent securely. Important for governments, critical infrastructure as well as for businesses.

    Expanding to The Hague

The first contact of the Dutch IT security company with The Hague Security Delta (HSD) and InnovationQuarter occurred during an economic mission to Japan in November 2015 under the leadership of Prime Minister Mark Rutte and Minister for Economic Affairs Henk Kamp. During this mission aimed at among others cybersecurity, the strategy of Compumatica has frequently been discussed and the wish was expressed to be closer to their clients. Many of the clients are active in the major cities in Western Holland (‘Randstad’) and mainly The Hague. The choice of location on the HSD Campus was therefore obvious.

Petra Schayik CEO Compumatica: "With the new office in The Hague, a long wish is fulfilled in order to be closer to our clients, who are mainly based in The Hague."

"With the presence of Compumatica in The Hague, our region is a nice security company richer. The high security level without back doors of their IT solutions developed are a valuable asset to our security ecosystem, "said Chris Voorden, Ditrector Foreign Investments at InnovationQuarter. "We accompany Petra van Schayik and her team as a new HSD partner by introducing them into our networks and assist in creating opportunities that support their business goals."

    Security at Olympics Games 2020

Compumatica is taking part with Alliander, Evidantly, Group 2000, Radically Open Security, Redsocks, Security Matters and ZiuZ, two educational institutions (Delft University of Technology and Eindhoven University of Technology) as well as The Hague Security Delta and InnovationQuarter in the International Business Platform (PIB), a consortium aiming to secure Olympic Games 2020 in Tokyo, Japan.

The consortium underlines the Dutch expertise and experience in protecting critical infrastructures from cyber threats.
